Contact exports: Email vs. Direct Mail
Contacts have two different export options because one person can be associated with multiple companies or locations.
Contact Email Export |
Contact Direct Mail Export |
Provides one instance of the contact. |
Provides a mailing address for each location associated with the contact. |
If a person is associated with five companies, the contact appears once. |
If a person is associated with five locations/companies, the contact can appear multiple times so each associated mailing address is represented. |
Emerald Tip Choose the export based on what you plan to do next. Use the Email Export when you need one clean contact record. Use the Direct Mail Export when the person's associated business locations and mailing addresses matter. |
